Sacred Service Through Sacred Preparation
The Altar Guild prepares for each worship service by caring for the Sanctuary, the Chapel, the Sacred Vessels, the linens, and vestments. We approach this work as a sacred duty, honoring God through careful attention to every detail that makes worship possible.
Teams of 3-4 church members meet each week to prepare both the church and the chapel for services. The teams are rotated so the work is spread among many, allowing more members to participate in this meaningful ministry.
New team members are trained by experienced members who share their knowledge and passion for this ministry. The entire Altar Guild enjoys preparing for services together, creating both beautiful worship spaces and lasting friendships.
Whether you're experienced in church traditions or new to this type of service, you'll find a welcoming community ready to teach and support you in this important work.
