Hayride!
Such blessings our youth are given by the generosity of our congregants! After the winter weather previously interfered with the horse-drawn hay ride offered by the Cece family, finally a glorious day promised an afternoon of fun and fellowship—and even Father Robert took the reins!!

Kids Shop for Thermal Belt Outreach
On September 13, 2018 our kids made their quarterly shopping trip for Thermal Belt Outreach. Thermal Belt plays a big role in Polk Country in helping people who might need some assistance. Be it food, helping pay the electric bill, or just some guidance; Thermal Belt has been doing this since 1991. The shopping money used by our kids comes from fundraisers they do and an extra collection take during a service right before they go. This time around the shopped for over 550 pounds of food!

Summer Swim Fun!
Fellowship abounds every week at Holy Cross, whether it be Foyer Group dinners, joining together for good causes, or simply having a cooling splash in the summer heat!
Larry and Carol Newton graciously invited the youth group, along with their families, for a great way to beat the heat in their backyard pool. The smiles on the faces speak volumes and we remain grateful for the Newton’s hospitality!

'Hooked' On Fishing!
It has been written that no cathedral ever built can match the glory of nature, and here in the Carolinas, glory abounds in our undulating countryside of lakes and mountains. The Holy Cross Youth Group embraces outdoor fun every chance they get and with a devoted group of volunteers, the children enjoyed the opportunity to become future anglers by participating in the event, ‘Hooked on Fishing,’ hosted this time at Derbyshire. The kids were exposed to yet another reason to play outside and, as always, a pizza lunch (with no anchovies) was waiting afterwards!
